Impeachment? I believe our President deserves better.

I watched Nancy Pelosi's speech about the reason for the president's impeachment yesterday. I would insist he be impeached if even one of the things she claimed were true.

The articles of impeachment do not include anything she claimed he has done, all serious impeachable crimes. I've read the impeachment articles and the responses to those allegations. All the allegations fail to rise to the level of "crime", none of the "legally admissible" evidence supports the "not crimes".

I watched the impeachment activities in congress. While I know impeachment is a political, not legal process, it was so massively and obviously unfair, I'd have ejected anyone who participated in that evil process from congress for the lack of any ethics, had I the authority.

The trial is in its preliminary process. I've read the president's initial filing in response to the articles. I'm uncertain of whom the ultimate authority is in the process (at the moment) but whoever it is, having all the relevant information, they ought to reject the impeachment as invalid by failing to meet the requirements of impeachment, voiding the congressional action.

I don't think anyone doubts the president has some abrasive social skills, possibly made more than a few bad decisions in his life (although few validated), but I've not experienced a president in my lifetime who I thought entirely admirable. But who is, really?

I despised Ronald Reagan, not for his conservative ideals which I aspire to, but for his governing of California, which I thought was horrible. I voted for Carter. Bad decision. Turns out Reagan was an infinitely better president than governor.

I wanted Louisiana governor Bobby Jindal to win the Republican nomination. By the time I was able to vote, he was no longer on the ballot. Trump v Clinton, I'd have voted for Satan, or revolution as the better option v. Hillary. Trump was my only real choice.

I thought Bill Clinton, intensely unqualified, and had the morals of a demon, but be it Newt Gingrich's congress, or Bill's exceptional skills I underestimated, I was not disappointed in his presidency in hindsight.

I still believe President Trump has a number of character shortcomings, but not one relevant to his job skills, performance, or decisions. I suspect his ego routinely challenges him in making wise decisions, but I've come to trust that his character is able to routinely overcome his compulsive tongue and ego. He routinely scares the crap out of me with the defense of his ego but in only 3 years he has nearly mastered his rhetoric to be less offensive while more effective.

Killing Suleimani was an unavoidable decision, but the response to Iran's reaction worried me. I suspected he would simply massively cripple Iran's infrastructure. An easy task for the military our President wisely updated and improved. That would not have been a bad decision but devastating,  and expensive, most likely to USA taxpayers. Mr. Trump was massive wiser than I would have expected, even clever. In fact, all of his decisions have been clever in the benefit of the USA.

I suppose with the socialist obsessive loathing of the president coupled with the democrat PR media stations, infotainment, edudoctination, and elite's disdain, far too many folks with limited time or unwise trust of these horrible information sources drives some democrat politic insanity for control and power, but that, to me is extremely foolish.

While I briefly despised Reagan, he earned my trust and respect. I wouldn't expect any democrat or socialist to respect President Trump but I think his record has earned the trust of the American people despite misguided ideologies.  He certainly has not earned impeachment and if we had a wiser congress they would have realized our President has been very willing to work with anyone willing to improve the lives of US citizens.
