Imagine Tucker is correct, and it is about power. Assume democrats obtain the power they seek. I've heard, "Abolish ICE", "Open Borders" and rhetoric that is incomprehensible from Antifa, Black Lives Matter, Feminism, and Metoo movements.
Abolish ICE, or law enforcement of immigrants and Open borders has unimaginable horrible outcomes. Antifa is little more than democrat intimidation via fear from fascist gangs little different from Hitler's brown shirts, who curiously consider themselves anti-fascists. Yes, and up is down, down is up.
Black Lives Matter was founded when a police officer legitimately killed a criminal who was a bad character. Anything founded on illogical or simply wrong foundational reasons are bound for failure. This doesn't mean black lives don't matter or change the black on black violence and difficult of police forces to address it in a way satisfactory to militant Black Lives Matter activists who, like democrats can be outraged but are short on ideas or theories for solutions.
Feminism was originally fully endorsed by nearly all women regarding equal pay for equal work in the workplace. No one arguing against that one. Today Feminism is morphed into something unintelligible. It may be something about LBGT rights mixed with free unchecked abortion, mixed with Islam and other matters that one woman I know personally agrees with, then only part of the many agendas. It is a movement that needs a cause but won't dissolve for its power and influence despite any cause. They have money and that influences politics, What that amounts to is whoever manages to manage the feminism movement, manages power and influence for whatever the moving target of a cause may be.
MeToo is about the neglect of sexual abuse justice. Stated that clearly few can argue with such a cause that is obvious to all who have a female in their lives they care about. But it, like feminism has lost its focus on its primary purpose. It is now a cliché about some injustice someone feels and needs a safe place to cringe in fear.
All of these primarily democrat generated movements have initially had wide support, less Antifa, I would guess, although KKK had much support in its time too, but I don't want to paint these groups as all evil. They have just lost their primary purpose, or focus and have become a cause that has power for power's sake.
I can point out that this phenomenon is not unusual. Alcoholics Anonymous had a primary purpose of helping alcoholics and they were astronomically successful when that was their primary purpose. When a corporation selling books took over the "guidance" of AA, they were soon entwined with the justice system, and before long were full of drug addicts and psychological mumbo jumbo. Since then their primary purpose from approximately 1955 has slowly become a catch all for any behavior that is bad and repetitive. It worked well even after it began to fall apart for at least 30 years and the company still sells books, and anonymous groups still meet, but the Alcoholics Anonymous of today is nothing slightly resembling the AA of the 40s and 50s.
There is no intention her to degrade any group that is well-intentioned and means well, but as I've demonstrated their purpose nearly always morphs into something unrecognizable and only remains for irrelevant or nefarious purposes usually tending towards the misuse of power.
This 2018 vote is more significant that any vote I've participated in my 40+ years of political life. Voting Heinlein said is violence, voting is violence, it is an action to create change or keep power as it is. My concern come November 6 is that I know democrats, 6+ major TV news outlets and hundreds of newspaper outlets are not even trying to hide that they are lying anymore. It is near impossible to find opposition news and possibly impossible to find any neutral news. "Just the facts' ma'am"
Well, I suggest you look at "Just the facts". You may be told a billion thing of horror, and nightmare about Trump and republicans but this batch has changed history... just the facts. And the batch that wants power more than anything promises no solutions, no theories on how to make things better, they offer obstruction, character assassination, impeachments, and tearing down the improvements you've witnessed in the last two years.
I think our nation is literally on the line. Today, if I were in a place where my vote mattered, not a 90% democrat and illegal voter district, I would normally consider the character of my representative. Today though, representatives no longer care about their districts, they care about power, what chairmanship they will get, how much power they will have and how they will harm republicans with it. If my vote mattered today, if a fellow with poor character was the republican and the good man was the democrat, I'd have to vote RED no matter what.
What choice have the democrats given me? Hate, anger, intimidation, fear, unclear purposes, no clear values of theories of solutions to social problems, or it has been getting better for two years now... do I want to see thing continue to get better. #VoteRed #WalkAway from the meaningless and angry politics of the unfocused democrats.
